I've always loved to travel and realized along the way that some of my best experiences are when I can connect with local people and get a deeper insight into the life and culture of the area. I like being able to really participate in daily life wherever I travel vs. skimming the surface as a tourist.

Here in Denver I'm very engaged in the outdoor scene - hiking, biking, water sports, disc golf, snowboarding - and really enjoy being outdoors. I'm also very social and enjoy meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends.

I'm new to Workaway but am looking forward to diving in. Over the years I've owned a number of houses and gotten plenty of experience at heavy-duty gardening outdoors and remodeling indoors. I'm motivated by continually learning new things and am very flexible when it comes to working. Generally I'm happy to help out with virtually any kind of work.

The main area where I can offer help is with physical tasks. I've done lots of gardening over the years including planting, pruning, and more intense tasks like building patios and walkways. I know a good deal about plants from my own homes, from working at a garden center, and volunteering at the local botanic garden.

I also have moderate experience at residential construction tasks like carpentry, electrical, tiling and basic plumbing. I've done a number of full remodels and build-outs on bathrooms and kitchens in places I've owned.

I also speak Spanish, German and English and would be happy to teach any of those, although being a native English-speaker that's going to be the strongest. I'm always looking for opportunities for language practice.

I do freelance work in the craft beer industry so I have decent knowledge of brewing and brewery operations. Most importantly it means that I'm very flexible when it comes to dates and travel for Workaway.

I really enjoy traveling and have been to 50+ countries on six continents so I have lots of experience with different cultures and situations. Because of that, I'm pretty chill with most situations and able to adapt as I go along.
