Hey there! I’m Spencer, this is my first time traveling outside the U.S., and I’m eager to experience life from a different perspective. I’ve worked with AmeriCorps leading river cleanup paddle trips and have volunteered at homeless shelters, so I enjoy hands-on projects that make a difference.
I’m excited to meet new people, share music and stories, and lend a hand wherever needed. Whether it’s helping on a farm, working on conservation projects, or simply bringing people together through song, I’m looking forward to the adventure!
I was raised in the southern Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina, USA. Music has always been a huge part of my life—I grew up in the bluegrass tradition, playing, singing, and sharing songs with others. I also love drawing, getting outdoors, and meeting new people.
I was raised on camping trips and long hikes, later deepening my love for nature through a degree in conservation biology. I care deeply about protecting the environment, reducing consumption, and fostering community—especially through live music.

I have experience with coordinating volunteers and working as a part of a team. During my time with AmeriCorps, I planned out river trips for volunteers to join in on picking up trash as we paddled. My host site, Asheville GreenWorks allowed me to help manage their urban tree nursery as well, so I’m happy to get my hands dirty! I have also worked at homeless shelters in multiple states in the U.S., and enjoy lending a hand community-focused causes
As far as less practical skills are concerned, music is my main passion in life and I love singing and playing for others. I also enjoy drawing and creating visual art.
