Hi, I'm Sophie! I reside in California, work in tech for my day job, and look for any opportunity I can to take off into the mountains.

I love the outdoors and always take advantage of the summer months for backpacking and hiking. I enjoy the feeling of being in the woods alone and revel in solitude, but I also like meeting new people and bringing my friends around a table over a homecooked meal. I'm told that I'm a quick learner, and I'm always looking for ways to make the lives of people around me easier. I've volunteered in commercial kitchens, helped out on farms, and tutored kids in English. I spent six months in Spain and am looking for ways to practice Spanish now that I'm back in the States!

Cooking - I cook often, and I'm pretty flexible across different cuisines. My favorite foods are Chinese and Korean food, and I make a great vegan cream pasta!
Physical labor - I run and lift weights, so I feel pretty comfortable carting around heavy things and walking long distances.
Gardening - I've volunteered on farms before, helping out with weeding, picking produce, and planting.
Languages - In addition to English, I know Spanish and Mandarin. I'm always looking for buddies to practice with!
