  • Description

Ciao! My name is Sasha and I'm a passionate and curious soul hailing from the beautiful region of Tuscany, Italy. I currently live in Milan, where I study architecture at Politecnico di Milano. My love for art is woven into the fabric of my life, and I find artistic expression in every corner of existence, from painting to architecture and media arts. The world around us is a canvas, and every experience, a brushstroke.

Being raised in the heart of Italy, I have nurtured a deep connection with nature. I love getting my hands dirty with gardening, a skill passed down from my loving mother. Plus, being Italian means cooking is in my blood! I take great joy in the art of cuisine and am always ready to roll up my sleeves in the kitchen.

In addition to nurturing plants and stirring pots, I adore spending time with children. Their innate curiosity and vibrant energy are a constant source of inspiration and learning.

As a 21-year-old adventurer, I'm always seeking paths less trodden, experiences that challenge me and opportunities to delve deep into new cultures. However, I also value the beauty of a well-laid plan, ensuring every adventure is enjoyable and enriching.

I'm passionate about learning new languages and eager to acquire skills that will enhance my personal and professional life. What excites me the most about WorkAway is the possibility to immerse myself in your unique context, understanding your world, and sharing in your experiences.

Engaging conversations are my lifeblood. I love to connect with people on a deeper level, exchanging ideas, understanding their perspectives, and participating in thought-provoking discussions. My belief is that each person I meet can teach me something new and invaluable.

Ultimately, my mission is to spread happiness through shared experiences, understanding, and the simple joy of good company. I look forward to being a part of your journey and you, a part of mine. Let's weave an unforgettable tapestry of cultural exchange together!

More details about my language interests
Because of my parents (My mother is half Moldovian and half Russian and my father is a native Italian that travelled a lot during his early ages), I developed a strong interest in languages when I was really young and I'm always intrigued and fascinated by learning new languages, but at the same time I feel confident enough to teach what I've learned so far; My mother taught me Romanian and a bit of Russian (I can write and read Cyrillic alphabet), while during school I've learned and became fluent in English (I'm C2 — Erasmus exams) and French (A bit rusty but a couple of days of talking could quickly fix that); during my childhood, I grew up with many Mexican friends, that taught me a bit of Spanish. A lot of my foreign friends told me that I'm pretty good at teaching Italian :)

  • More details about your skills

I bring a diverse range of skills and experiences to the table, cultivated through years of self-learning, manual work, and academic pursuits. My expertise spans cooking, babysitting and dog-sitting, drawing, fixing computer problems, using a variety of media and photo-related programs, and speaking multiple languages.

These skills were sharpened through dedicated self-learning and practical application in various roles. From my early years assisting my father with various construction projects - from building small wooden houses to mounting shelves - to my professional experiences working in a shipyard and design studio, I have honed a multitude of practical abilities.

During my time in the shipyard, I was entrusted with the responsibilities of yacht siliconisation and performing final quality checks before departure. Currently, while pursuing my university studies, I work in a design studio where I've learned how to construct architectural scale models from wood and cardboard.

As a WorkAway participant, I can contribute in many ways. This includes repainting a house, providing childcare or pet care, cooking, gardening, assisting with wooden construction, and offering guidance on design and architectural choices. I can also help structure design-based models or build websites.

My qualifications include various contracts, degrees, and diplomas, along with a personal portfolio showcasing my design and architecture-related work.

In terms of soft skills, I'm a hard worker who takes pride in motivating those around me to strive for excellence. I enjoy working as part of a team, and my strong sense of humour helps to create a positive and uplifting environment. I am passionate about fully engaging in any work that I feel connected to, and look forward to bringing this dedication to your home or project.
