Description
Before I worked at a ski resort last winter, I needed a place to live (so I didn’t have to camp in 30 degree weather) and happened to find a hostel taking in new workawayers that let me stay for the month I needed. I thought it just a place to stay and help, but turned out to be the most amazing time. Now I’m on the hunt to form new connections and get out of my comfort zone. I love community living and would love to join a new group of amazing humans who not only have each other back, but push each other to be better and experience new things! A good friend once told me time speeds up when you stay in one place too long because your brain isn’t as stimulated (you know how the drive back always feels shorter than the drive there), and I’ve found it to be pretty true so far. Ahora estoy aprendido español y estoy esperando que puedo hablar con mucha gente nueva y mantener mejorándolo! No hablo como un nativo de un país que habla español, pero digo que puedo tener un conversación con alguien sobre la mayoría de sujetos, alrededor un nivel intermedio.

Being a raft guide I like to think I'm pretty quick on my feet. Ive also been an instructor for different board sports so talking and teaching people new things is something I’m somewhat experienced at. Working for a hostel I gained some experience checking people in through the cloud beds service, and tidying and cleaning up communal spaces. I’ve worked with people of all ages, and am pretty good at communicating things to a variety of people. I am also very good at frying up a variety of vegetables (I love fried pickles and onion rings).
