Hello!
My name is Rachel and I am currently a student of Cultural Anthropology & Development Sociology in Amsterdam. However, before I finish my studies I am taking some time off to get out of my textbooks and into the world! Most of all, I am looking to gain some experience in sustainable farming and/or gardening. After a few years of living in the
city I have been craving a deep reconnection with nature and I would love to learn more about different ways of living with the natural environment.
I have worked in several organic grocery stores for the past few years, so I have some experience with doing practical work and with working with food. I have also previously volunteered in a wildlife rehabilitation centre for two months. Because of my background in anthropology I have a strong interest in travelling and learning about different cultures, and my study has taught me to always keep an open mind and to be critical of my own position in the world.
I hope to meet you soon!Interests

I have about five years of experience working in supermarkets, where I did various tasks such as managing stocks, cleaning and helping out customers. Some of these supermarkets were organic grocery stores, where I learned a lot about organic food and where it comes from.
I have worked as a volunteer in a wildlife rehabilitation centre in Peru for two months, where I helped with preparing food, taking care of animals and maintainting the enclosures. It also taught me a lot about living in the jungle and about living together with people from different cultural backgrounds. I also learned to speak some Spanish.
Other than that, I am skilled in writing and painting/drawing and I have some basic knowledge of photography, film and social media.
But my biggest skill I would say is adapting to new situations and being a quick learner :)Age
