I'll soon be in Ireland looking for places to stay and help out while I wander around and play fiddle.
Description
I caretake a redwood forest reserve and homestead in California where I've been for six years, and I travel playing fiddle. I have handyman/building/gardening skills. I left an engineering career at Google to give my energy to things I love: protecting and tending nature and growing food, and now music.
I don't smoke or use any substances. I'm quiet, responsible, thoughtful, hardworking, good with children, and can figure out how to do whatever needs doing. And I have a good sense of humor, I will respond well if you tell me I'm doing it wrong! ;)
I did work trades before in the US and also hosted wwoofers. Here's my last work trade review from Alisa at Sparkroot Farm in North Carolina:

I worked as a software engineer for four years, leading a team. Then I left to volunteer with a nonprofit and caretake a forest reserve and homestead where I helped build buildings, and have maintained the off grid infrastructure for five years: electrical and water systems, pumps, generators, chainsaws, buildings, garden, road, etc.
I am good at cooking from scratch and keeping a kitchen clean and organized.
