Hello! My name is Pek (pronounced as "peck"), I'm from Malaysia and have spent the last few years working in Singapore.

This is my first time in New Zealand and I can't wait to discover more about the people and the beautiful country!

Having lived in cities my whole life, I love being close to nature. I'm adventurous, I love learning new things especially people's cultures & cuisines!

In my free time I enjoy: Reading, going for a drive, spontaneous trip, being active, strolling in parks, looking at products packaging in grocery stores

Pek is a delightful young lady who arrived at my place full of energy and eager to get started weeding in my gardens. She is clean and tidy and willing to 'go the extra mile'. She had problems with her vehicle which meant that she had to go to the city to get it sorted.

Roger & Brenda are really lovely and I'm so lucky to have met them in my very first Workaway experience. I learnt so much - new plants, gardening, general knowledge to geocaching etc within 1.5 weeks! Pek is great. She fitted in well with two other Workawayers who she shared time with at our orchard. She is resourceful and intelligent, but was quite happy to do the fairly mundane tasks we set for her in the garden.
