Hi! My name is Océane, I am 25 years old and I come from France. I am currently working as a nurse in a hospital in the west part of France. My contract will end at the end of August and after that I would like to go back travelling and volunteering abroad.

Professionnally, I am a nurse graduated since 2020 and with various exepriences : cardiology, neurology, Covid-19 units, intensive care and community health. Beside, my nursing job I also did two long term volunteering projects abroad. The first one, in 2018, in Israel, I was volunteering for people with mental disabilities in a workshop center. My role was to create and manage occupational actitivies (reading, writing, painting, dance class, DIY etc.). The second one, was in 2022, in Ireland, I was volunteering for an NGO helping homeless people. I was in a intermediate care unit and my role was to assist them with their social and administrative procedure (in collaboration with the social worker) and to do educational workshop about addiction.

These experiences helped me to develop skills that can be useful for a workaway experience, such as:
> Social and communication skills with various public (children, elderly, people with special needs etc.)
> First-aid assistance and knowledge on hygien, diseases etc.
> Being responsible, organised, working efficiently.
> Creativity and management skills.

What else ...

More than exchanging help for a bed, I would like to spend time with my host, learn about his lifestlye, culture, passion etc. In my opinion, a workaway stay a social experience and sharing with my host is important to me.
