Hi! I'm Nicole, a 23-year-old masters' student of International Relations from London, England. I want to take part in workaways to experience other cultures and languages. I have already done a few volunteer experiences - in a school, hostel and farm. These experiences taught me so much and introduced me to amazing people, and I want to continue to meet new people and learn about their cultures!

I enjoy reading, being in nature, and playing board games. I am a hard worker and very open minded to new things. My passion right now is learning languages - I really want to become fluent in French! I love animals, particularly cats. I love travelling, and spent the first half of 2024 travelling from Mexico to Peru. I am quite a versatile person, and enjoy both staying in and a quiet life as well as more adventurous activities.

Now that I am coming to the end of my masters' degree, I want to travel a bit more before starting full-time work. I particularly want to travel to France for the opportunity for language exchange. My French is conversational, but I want to be fluent! I am fluent in English and Spanish so can offer practice in these as part of a language exchange :)

I have experience in teaching children - I have taught Maths, English and Spanish up to age 14.
I have experience doing farmwork - I spent 2 weeks working on a permaculture farm outside of Bogota, Colombia.
I also have experience helping adults with practising both English and Spanish.
I have worked in hospitality and have lots of experience dealing with customers :)

What else ...

I enjoy hiking - one of my favourite experiences was doing the Salkantay hike to Machu Picchu in Peru. I like doing crossword puzzles or other sorts of brain teasers too.

I am a big fan of the board game Catan, but also enjoy the classics like Monopoly and chess.

I would love to be in a Workaway where the host is fluent in French to help me improve my French skills.
