Hello,


My name is Nora and of Algerian origin. Until last year, I worked in an association that offered leisure activities and cultural events. I've also worked in an Emmaüs charity and in various schools as a school life assistant.

I'm fairly relaxed and easy to get on with. I'm not a noisy person. I'm open-minded. I accept everyone's differences. I enjoy socialising, meeting people, go out, party occasionally but I'm definitely not a party girl ! I'm tidy and clean. I also like doing quiet things. I love to read, watch TV, go to flea markets and do DIY projects.

After the pandemic, I needed a change in my life and to broaden my horizon. The principle of exchanging work for accommodation and food. I like the idea of helping others.

I've been in Sydney for a few months. I work as a chef in a childcare centre in Cammeray in the north of Sydney. Before I go back to France, I want to move around, see other places, meet other Australian families and practise my language skills. My level is still basic.

On dit de moi que je suis dynamique, souriante. J'essaie toujours de voir le bon côté des choses. J'aime m'impliquer dans l'organisation et la création d'un projet et si en cours de route j'apprends de nouvelles choses, c'est encore mieux.
Je suis très bricoleur. J'ai toujours fait la plupart des travaux ménagers moi-même (peinture, tapisserie, étagères, un peu d'électricité, etc…). Je peux aider à la cuisine, m'occuper des enfants et/ou des animaux, faire le ménage. J'ai des compétences de base en couture (peut utiliser une machine à coudre). Je peux aussi vous aider avec l'enseignement en français et en arabe
Je n'ai pas peur de sortir de ma zone de confort. Je suis prête à apprendre davantage. Mes connaissances sont limitées mais l'intérêt et la motivation sont bien présentes. Jardiner, entretenir une ferme, cueillir des fruits ou des légumes, s'occuper d'animaux, faire de petites réparations et autres…. Apprendre de nouvelles choses que je n'aurais jamais imaginé faire un jour.

What else ...

I like board games, especially Uno and Rummik. Films and series (Bollywood, Korean, Japanese, Thai, BL, manga), although I prefer reading. Taking a random bus to visit a city. I want to share my views, my emotions and my feelings about these discoveries. Setting off on an adventure into the unknown, overcoming my fears and apprehensions will only enrich my life experience.
