My name is Madde. I’m a local to Albuquerque, New Mexico, but I love to travel to new new places for extended periods of time. I’ve taught English in Togo, studied Spanish in Peru, and motorbiked Vietnam. After many years of dreaming of its landscapes, I’m thrilled to be adding New Zealand to this list.
When traveling, I am never caught without a camera, a sketchbook, and an open mind. I love to try new things (especially foods) and plan to eventually eat my way across the world.
I am passionate about sustainability, cultural exchange, and the arts. I consider myself to be a lifelong student and love to learn everything from everyone everywhere.
I am interested in being part of the Workaway community because I am looking to make deeper relationships with both places and people. I love to travel, but we frequently zoom to all the hotspots and never truly get to know the land beneath our feet. I am very flexible and enthusiastically willing to gain new skills. I am a quick learner with a positive attitude and I love a good challenge.
I would love to share a small chapter of our lives together!
Cheers,
MaddeInterests

More details about your skills
Skills: Open-minded, quick learner, experience with teaching, working with kids, working reception, event planning, and art and design
I am experienced working with children. I have been a regular camp counselor and babysitter and just recently finished teaching and building the curriculum for a class on alternatives to violence for "at risk" youth in my local community.
I served as on the executive director's board for a charity chapter at my university called Nourish International. As a result, I am experienced with community outreach and advocacy, event planning and organization, and managing finances.
I have four years of experience working in a photography lab and am familiar with the nuances of the adobe creative suite and printing on large ink jet printers. I am also an artist and would love to collaborate on any creative projects you may have.Age
