Hi there! I’m Mitch, I’m a 26 year old Aussie currently travelling around Europe prior to moving to the UK in mid 2023.

I’ve done heaps of volunteering back home especially with the homeless community and refugee children and families in Melbourne and it’s something that I’m really passionate about and brings me great joy.

I’m keen to do some more volunteering ideally in the refugee space but also open to exploring other avenues as I’m tracking around Europe.

I’m also really super dooper(!!) keen to work/volunteer for a ski season in Europe. I feel like it would be such a cool, unique experience that if never be able to experience in Australia.

Apart from this I’m also really into music (I play guitar, piano and sing at pubs as a side-hustle at home), all sports, meeting new and diverse people and being in the great outdoors 😊😊

Im able to speak basic conversational level Japanese as I hope to live in Japan a few years down the line. I’m also interested in learning new languages in places I go, I find it so interesting in how a person’s language and the words available to them shape the kind of thoughts and perceptions they have. So I’d like to expand that as much as possible 😊

For the last three years (pretty much from the start of the pandemic), I’ve been working full-time as a physiotherapist at hospitals in Melbourne. Building relationships with patients is my real passion and becoming such close friends with people then to see them achieve their goals like being able to go for walks on the beach with their wife is so inspiring.

The hospital is a big team as well so I’m adept at working in a team and building relationships to work towards the same goal.

Prior to working full-time I worked in hospitality at various cafes/restaurants with Melbourne and have my Australian qualification RSA (responsible service of alcohol).

Having worked in a lot of different settings I pride myself on being really good at being really enthusiastic, proactive at building relationships and creating a great working environment. But also having worked full time in a hospital (including in ICU) for three years through the pandemic I pride myself on working hard and working efficiently.
