Hi!!
My name is Elisa. I was a pastry chef and had my own bakery in Brazil. After almost 9 years I closed it so I could travel the world :)
I started traveling in march 2022, and I've been through a few countries doing volunteer work.
I love traveling, learning about different cultures, meeting new people and learning languages. Throughout my life, apart from Brazil, my home country, I've also lived in Canada, France, in the US and in Italy.
I love everything food-related. From the field to the finished product. As a pastry cook and food scientist, I'm really interested in getting to know the regional pastries and desserts, and maybe learning how to make them with the locals.
I also love sports, practicing and teaching. I was an athlete growing up and studied sports science at university.
I'm really excited about what I'll experience through workaway and can't wait to learn more about what's out there!Interests

I've worked with pastry for over 9 years, and for 8 of those I also managed my own bakery. Besides the baking skills I've learned throughout these years, I've also learned a lot about small business management, excel spreadsheets, organization, costumer service, social media, taking pictures of products, problem solving and so on.
Getting my bachelor's degree in Food Science also taught me a lot about food safety and conservation, for instance.
I also worked at Disneyland Paris, as a Guest Relations agent. We made sure the guests got the information they needed, and also helped them solve any problems they might be having. I've also had the opportunity to be a vonlunteer at Disneyland Paris, guiding selected families who experience some type of vulnerability, on the park.Age
