Description
Hi, I'm a Mechanical Engineering student who enjoys solving challenges, puzzles, reading books about science and nature and exploring new places. I love being surrounded by nature and have a particular interest in insects, fungi, and recently, mosses. I just had my first travel abroad and I am eager already to explore different countries, try new foods, and have unique experiences again! I am looking for trying new things and possibly discovering new hobbies, like carpentry, baking and gardening.

I have been learning German for almost fiveyears now and would like to practice with native speakers whenever the opportunity arises. I am comfortable absorbing the language through everyday interactions. I have a good understanding of spoken German but still need a bit more practice with speaking. My English is not yet fluent, but I can communicate more than effectively. I am also open to speaking Portuguese with anyone interested in practicing or experiencing the language. My Spanish skills come from its similarities with Portuguese. For fluent Spanish speakers, my Spanish might be a bit confusing, but I am able to communicate and understand basic conversations.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

More details about your skills
I am used to doing household chores (although I have just basic skills in cooking). I can be a bit shy at first, even though I come from a family of five, with two brothers. However, I want to improve my social skills to their best.
I play the piano as a hobby and take part in a choir at my church. I have some experience in camping, as I have been part of a Pathfinders Club (a club similar to the Scouts) for almost five years, and I have practiced volleyball and swimming for a long time. On my last trip, I discovered a newfound interest in hiking, and I’m looking forward to exploring this new hobby wherever I go next.
I like animals and have had dogs, bunnies, hamsters, fish, and birds (not particularly at the same time). I have never owned large animals, like horses and cows, but I am willing to try if the opportunity arises.
As a Mechanical Engineering student, I take part in my university's Formula Racing (FSAE) team. There, I have learned many things: welding, using electrical tools, CAD modeling and simulation, teamwork, and — most especially — a love for working with my own hands.Age

What else ...
I am open to engaging with hosts and their communities through conversations, games (my favorite is detective stories, such as the card game Black Stories), hikes, workshops, and events — or simply by listening to their stories and experiences. At the same time, I also appreciate and find joy in moments of solitude.
