Description

We are a semi-retired Canadian couple.
These days we spend more time traveling (away from home) these days than we spend at home!
My wife and I raised three children, and we're "empty nesters" now.
Most of our days are now journeying from place to place in our 22-foot travel trailer.
Both of us are bilingual (french and english) but very much want to get more practice with the french language and improve.
Haven't yet done a WorkAway. Looking forward to our first such adventure.

Mike:
My past career was in an engineering capacity, working in manufacturing environments for 30 years. I've also been self-employed a couple times: once as owner and manager of a 7-unit apartment building and once as a wooden pallet manufacturer. I now describe myself as semi-retired, traveling frequently. As I move from place to place, I will often work a part-time job for a few months before moving on to my next "new" home base in another place. I'm experienced in woodworking, landscaping, roofing, electrical, plumbing, automotive and a few other things too.

Heather:
I ran my own businesses from home while raising our family of 3. I am an avid learner, and love picking up new information and skills. I have experience in sales, home renovations and basic repairs, roofing, landscaping, sewing and more! I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Running my own businesses means I learned a lot of organizational skills, intra-personal skills and am competent with many different computer programs, including video and photo editing.
