Description
I am a driven woman in pursuit of adventure and constant growth. I have been moving in the direction of discomfort and exploration from a young age and after leaving Beirut, Lebanon to attend university in the United States and going through challenges throughout my time, I grew exponentially. As I graduate this year with a BA in Political Science, I will be attending law school next year and during my summer I wanted to soak in and immerse myself in life as much as possible. I have felt a calling to South America and particularly Colombia for a while and I decided to go for it immediately after my graduation, with the main intention of immersing myself in the culture, social and political challenges, rich society and traditions of Colombia, particularly Medellin.

I have been learning Spanish for the past 3 years through university courses, advanced Duolingo, speaking with friends and acquaintances as well as listening and dancing to spanish music. One of my main goals of immersing myself in Colombia is to improve my Spanish and become more fluent as I have already built a bases to expand. I am also very passionate about all languages and being fluent in Arabic, French as my first two languages, but becoming very proficient in English during my time in the United States, I have grown very expressive and would love to share and teach languages to others. As a tour coordinator at my university, and with frequent travel, I have learned how to communicate with people from all over the world who speak different languages, and I have developed a patience and understanding of how people think. Hence, I recognize the importance of effective communication which fuels me with the desire to enrich others with the tools of language.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

I have collected skills throughout my years with a very high work ethic shown in the 10+ work and internship I have participated in within the past 4 years. I have worked in customer service, campus organization and university events training other students as well as tutoring Arabic and other courses in Political Science and Women and gender studies. I have been a research assistant to professors in my university as well as with institutes in Lebanon and research consultancy groups. Moreover, my knowledge in the field of politics, community development as well as legal evaluation was boosted through law firm experiences. Being part of the Scouts of Lebanon for 10 years, I developed survival skills while living in nature for 2 weeks of the summer, helping develop younger girls and empowering the group as a whole with music, art and knowledge. In addition, being the head delegate of Model United Nations, I have acquires public speaking skills which have allowed me to stand out in the committees during conferences, as well as train other delegates. Lastly, I play guitar solo and performance, produce tracks as well as dance since I was 4 with an emphasis on latin and salsa styles. Overall, what all of my experiences share is the deep desire I have to learn and constantly step out of my comfort zone to explore, meet others, gain knowledge and expand my mind!
