Description
Hello and Kia Ora!
We’re Marion and Line, a couple from France excited to begin our working holiday adventure in New Zealand in September 2025. We’re arriving with open hearts, open minds and hands ready to help!
Why New Zealand?
For us Frenchies, it really is the other side of the world and the dream destination we’ve both been imagining for years. After intense periods of studying and working, we felt it was time to pause, step out of routine, and connect with the world around us. We’re drawn to New Zealand for its stunning landscapes, rich biodiversity, unique culture, and deep connection to nature. We’re hoping to spend the year learning from locals, living more simply, and making meaningful connections along the way.
We’re outdoorsy, active, and curious by nature. We love hiking, exploring new places, taking walks with Marion’s dog, watching and rating movies, playing board games, and cooking tasty vegetarian meals together. We laugh a lot, talk a lot, and really enjoy sharing time with others.
About Marion :
I’m 25 and from Normandy. I graduated in 2023 with a Master’s in Journalism and have been working in regional newspapers ever since. I’m curious, love meeting new people, and always eager to learn new things. I also enjoy documenting my travels through photography and video editing.
Animals have a special place in my heart, and I would love to help care for them. I spent 15 years riding and being around horses, which was a big part of my childhood and teenage years. I haven’t had the chance to ride since starting university, but I’d love to reconnect with that passion in New Zealand.
I also share a close bond with Harley, my family’s senior dog! I have a soft spot for kids too and often babysit my five-year-old nephew, who keeps me smiling and on my toes.
About Line :
I’m also 25 and from Normandy. I tend to be the quieter one between us, but I’m just as excited about this adventure! I hold a Master’s in Foreign Languages (English and Spanish), and my work background is quite varied, from public relations and a campsite reception to assisting management at a music school. I’m versatile, adaptable and curious about everything I take on. I enjoy helping out wherever needed - whether it’s in the garden, the kitchen, or helping with animals. Animals welfare is especially close to my heart. I previously worked as a communication officer for an animal protection NGO, which deepened my commitment to the cause. I’m really looking forward to discovering and observing the many unique species in New Zealand and learning more about the local environment and wildlife.
I also have a real passion for discovering new places, meeting people, and learning about different cultures.
We believe this experience is a chance to grow, share, and better understand the world around us : that’s one of the things we are most looking forward to in New Zealand!
We’d love to hear from you and see how we could help you !
Thanks for considering us!
Warm wishes,
Marion & Line

Yes, definitely! We both have a good level of English and can communicate well, even if speaking can be a little challenging at first — simply because we don’t often get the chance to practise it in everyday life. That’s one of the reasons we’re so excited about this whole experience — to improve our spoken English through real conversations and daily interactions. We’re native French speakers and would be happy to help others learn or practise French. Line also speaks Spanish fluently and is happy to share that as well if there’s interest!
