Hello!!

We are Anna and Marcel and we decided to take a break from our day to day lives to travel. We want to experience different cultures as closely as possible, as well as gain more experience in different projects, that’s why choosing workaway for our travels was the best decision for us!
We love being outside in nature, being creative (like crafting) and cooking/baking is a big passion for us! We spend most of our time in the kitchen and love to cook meals to warm the tummies of others!
Marcel has a lot of experience in constructional work where I try to assist him as much as I can. We both have gardening/farming experience as well, including taking care of animals. Additionally we love crafting, drawing, painting and sketching and would love to help in those kind of projects as well, if possible.
We are very open to learn new things that’s why we are open to all kinds of projects. We want to learn as much as possible. Our wish is to live independently some day, so to be able to help you around your lovely home would be a wonderful opportunity for us! It would be an honor to gain this experience in your home!

I, Anna, love to learn languages and exchanging knowledge about it. I am currently learning Spanish on my own, where I currently have an A2-level. Languages are very beautiful to me and I can also imagine teaching English to others ☺️

As mentioned Marcel has a lot of experience in constructional work, as he worked in this sector for around 5 years. He specialized as a carpenter for indoor as well as outdoor work. He has a lot of knowledge regarding wood & can work wonderfully with it. Additionally he built fences and has basic knowledge in gardening.
I have basic experience in constructional work, but would love to learn more about it! I have experience in farming, including taking care of animals. I love plants and gardening! Most of my gardening/farming experience comes from helping my family members who work as farmers. Additionally I love crafting, sewing, painting and drawing. It would be an honor to help in these kind of projects. I speak 4 languages fluently (Latvian, Russian, German and English), so if you are interested in exchanging languages, I can help with that as well ☺️ I have also taken care of children (age 3-13) in my family, which I enjoyed very much.

The both of us are very open to all kind of work, because we want to take as much as experience with us as we can!

What else ...

In our free time we love to hike and are very interested in bush crafting. We both enjoy reading a lot and are very interested in spirituality! I have been practicing yoga for the past 3 years, and we both would love to gain more knowledge about yoga/meditation, if that opportunity should exist. We in general love talking to other people, because we believe that we can learn from something through everyone’s story.

We are definitely a very friendly, communicative and open couple. Communication, trust, respect and honesty is very important to us as well, so we expect the same from our hosts!☺️
