Description

I love being creative, being outside and discovering new cultures. Being a tourist makes me sad and lonely because I feel an outsider looking in. I am rejoining Workaway after a few years away due to the pandemic because I miss travelling and love to meet people, hear their stories and discover their views. I care about the planet and everything in it, so doing anything which improves someone's life or our environment makes me happy.
But I also doing sport even though I am terrible, laughing, adventures, animals, and if there is something you love, or are passionate about then I am open to discover it!

-DIY - we are renovating our house in the UK - lots of sanding, sawing and painting,
-I am a freelance artist and teacher and can paint murals or lettering/images (I'm currently redesigning and painting the lettering on my friends' shopfront,
Gardening - I started our garden at home from a patch of mud, making mistakes and learning loads from my friends and family and now have trees, vegetables and 3 compost heaps! In previous volunteering I did eco-projects, such as cutting down invasive trees in London forests, making paths in the forests in Ecuador, clearing brambles, caring for trees, harvesting etc
In term time I work in schools, so have experience with children. I also used to work in bars, pubs and catering. For the charity Crisis I cooked meals for up to 150 people
I love learning about cooking in other cultures and can share dishes that I know.
I am open-minded, flexible, love working hard and seeing things happen, and willing to try new things and learn from you, so if there is anything you need me to do please ask. If I don't know how to do something I will be humble and try to learn fast so I can help with whatever you need!
