Hi everyone, I'm Madi! I am 23 years old and have spent the last few months working in the United States after spending a year teaching in Uzbekistan. I am definitely a wanderer though, so I am itching to continue my travels and to see new places! I am very lucky to say I have lots of experience living internationally, including 5 years around Europe, teaching in countries like South Africa and Ukraine, and studying in Ecuador.

I graduated from the University of Vermont in 2021, with a degree in Linguistics and Spanish, and I have job experience in pretty much everything, from customer service to research to trail maintenance to childcare and more! I am super passionate about trying new things whenever I get the chance, and I especially love living a more nomadic lifestyle and learning as many new languages as I can. I can't wait to see where my adventures take me next :)

I am a huge language nerd and learning the language of wherever I am is extremely important to me. While I wish I could learn every language, I also love being able to learn even a little bit of the languages in all the places I travel to. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language and very comfortable/excited to share what I know with others! After living in Belgium for three years growing up, my French is passable although I have forgotten a lot of it over the years. And I have a survival level of Uzbek and Russian after living in Uzbekistan for a year. As a linguist, I am always looking to learn more about the world's languages and welcome any and all opportunities to chat about language/linguistics or have a language exchange.

I consider myself to be pretty easygoing and just happy to listen to and chat with as many people around the world as I can. I have a lot of different interests and can always find something in common with people I meet. Mostly I just like listening to people talk about what they're passionate about, and all the things I have to learn from people I meet.
