I'm Willem, a late-20s American Midwesterner. I went to school for Mathematics and Computer Science and had been working in IT consulting since graduating. Last year, I threw corporate life out the window to learn something new. Now, I'm in Ireland for graduate studies, starting August 2023. On the path there, I'm excited to experience Ireland through Workaway!

I'm volunteering to learn new skills, meet new friends, and experience Ireland. I've just returned from a long journey where I WWOOFed in New Zealand. I'm familiar with the Workaway process and am always sure to be a respectful, hard working presence wherever I go.

I’m a quick study and eager to add to my resume. In general I’ve been handy for most of my life and love a good project, from gardening to some minor carpentry. In New Zealand I spend time gardening, landscaping, and worked in a hostel.
