  • Description

    Hello!!
We are Leanna and Noelle Cameron, two sisters from Massachusetts! We’re looking to volunteer for a month together this July.
I (Leanna) attend college in California, and Noelle is studying Biochemistry at St. Andrews in Scotland.
Leanna took a gap year two years ago and traveled around Europe and Central America doing Workaways and working in the Conservation Corps, and volunteered last summer living on a sailboat doing beach cleanups in Norway. She is an outdoor guide and loves all things backpacking and hiking. She is constantly inspired by meeting new people and learning from others!

Noelle studies Biochemistry, but has a special interest in organic farming, and works at an organic farm in Concord, MA. She loves working to understand the world through books, and also getting her hands dirty in the real world! She has also spent many years working in the food service, and spent a year as a medical scribe in urgent care.

We have a third sister, Allison, who is not included on this partner profile, but we would love to join your farm altogether this summer! Allison is currently on a gap year before she will study Design at Parsons University in NYC. She loves all things building and design. She works for our uncle who builds homes in PA, working on the construction site and planning behind the scenes. She is project oriented and a visionary who loves to take on spontaneous physical projects!

We are all very flexible, hardworking girls with positive attitudes. We would love to volunteer where we can really put energy into hard work and learn some new skills, rather than just doing small chores. We each have unique skills to bring to the table, making us a perfect team for your farm!! We don't mind getting tired and getting dirty. We are happy to sleep all in one room, or for two of us to share a bed if necessary.

We are majorly animal people! We have two cats at home but we love animals of all kinds!

We have realized that time will move quickly and we want to spend as much quality time living together as sisters as we can. We work very well together and are hoping to work hard in the days, and spend nice free time together too.

We are interested in outdoor work; harvesting, planting, other farming jobs, animal care, and other projects.

  • More details about your skills

I have experience in many different areas,

I am a fast learner in new environments and have years of experience working with all types of people (a passion of mine). I have a positive attitude and ability to be creative, gentle, communicative, and assertive when necessary.

In many of my jobs I have done mostly outdoor work, meaning construction, building, pulling weeds, moving rocks. I really fell in love with hard physical work and spending my days outside. I would love to do more of this in my upcoming volunteer opportunities.

I have worked 6 years in food service, and some retail, lots of working with people. I love working in teams and find that is where I thrive.
