currently in Aix-en-Provence and southern France, looking to start my travels to anywhere in France where there's a welcoming place :)

  • Description

Hi there! I'm Konstantin from Berlin, and this is something about me:

If there is one thing that fulfills me and that I think everyone should try more often, it's learning from one another. A little openness towards other people, their culture and stories goes a long way, and when I travel, I love to take in new perspectives and impressions, give others a piece of my own person in return and make some people smile along the way.

Music is like my fuel, and I think it is another beautiful way to connect people across the world. I believe that by exchanging music and our associations and memories with it, we can learn about each other. Playing music together and sharing that passion gives me joy like few other things in life. I personally enjoy a wild mix of styles, from middle-eastern jazz to hiphop and beethoven...

I guess you could say I am making my passions my profession, because I am currently studying music, geography and education. Like that, I can play music (mainly the drums and a bit of piano as well), learn how our world works (small parts of it at least) and strive to improve education at schools and around it. I work with high school classes, from teambuilding and democracy class trips to seminars about the "grown up world". And still, doing all that only shows me how much more there is to learn out there...

What else? When I'm in my element, you might find me cooking something new, being a nerd about basketball or football, going on walks in nature or playing group games with friends. When the atmosphere is right, I love being around people and have lots of energy, but I can also spend time on my own and recharge.

Hope to meet you soon and share much more of me, listen to you and grow from the experience!

More details about my language interests
I'd like both learning and teaching new languages! For the learning part, I really want to improve my french, as I have spent the last semester of my studies in Aix-en-Provence and now try to explore the country, its people and language a bit more profoundly. I'd say I can follow conversations and express myself generally, but sometimes when people speak faster, it's still difficult to follow (about B2 level). I can happily teach you some German (yes, including all the crazy long words and weird expressions) and English.

  • More details about your skills

I like to cook, both to do my "classics" for you or to try new recipes. I can manage household tasks and will offer to help wherever I can.
I have some experience with gardening and homeworking, but am not a pro. However I'd love to learn more about it and will always give my best, ask questions and follow instructions :) (in my volunteer year we had a project of renovating an old house, including painting, reworking walls, electronics, working with wood, installing furniture and others...)
I like to be outside and have no problem with getting my hands dirty. Also, I can work in a team equally well as on my own.
I am a certified group pedagogue and would love to organize some workshops, group games or tours. I am good with presentations, talking in front of audiences, or visualizing concepts (even though I'm no great artist when it comes to drawing artworks hahah).
I can teach anyone the drums, basic piano or even a bit of singing. I would love to make music together and can accompany you on the piano or conduct a bit as well.
I have experience with working with children and teenagers (mostly classes and groups but also individually), I love helping with schoolwork or just playing and passing time with them - or with adults as well, of course ;)
I'm a good writer, have lots of creativity and can help with formulating texts, dissertations or presentations. I have experience with Canva, office programs or digital conference tools. Also a little bit of video / photo editing.
I have occupied myself with different stress reduction techniques and held workshops about it. Also, i've taught about communication strategies, democracy implementation and conflict management. Currently I'm working on a big dissertation for uni about personal feedback as a means of archieving more solidarity in schools.
Generally, I can quickly dive into new topics and be enthusiastic about them. In short, I like sharing my passions and develop new ones...
