Hello! My name is Kelsey and I'm a 31-year-old artist, art instructor, and florist. My 2024 is dedicated to creative endeavors and travel, and I would love to do this through WorkAway as I value the connections and community it provides, and have an eagerness to help and be a part of bigger projects.

I'm from California but have lived overseas for most of my life. I grew up in Kuwait (my parents are architects). I studied art in California and painting at the Accademia Di Belle Arti in Florence. I taught art (painting, drawing, ceramics, etc.) for 3 years at a private school in Kuwait, spent a year in Rome painting, and have been living in Los Angeles for the last three years working as a florist and art instructor.

I specialize in murals and large-scale creative projects. I host life drawing classes and teach drawing and painting workshops, and would be happy to teach art classes to hosts or their children.

My parents' pet project was a farmhouse in France that we would fix up in the summers, so I am used to living in construction zones and doing odd jobs. That paired with my floral experience means I'm happy to get my hands dirty and I have an understanding of these projects.

I adore animals and am open to learning how to care for them; I have experience with dogs, cats, and other small animals but have been around horses and farm animals and would be comfortable working with them.

I practice yoga (almost) every day and appreciate healthy and natural food. I love trying different foods and cooking!
