Hi there, we are an international couple (an American and a Brit) who met in 2024 while we were both traveling around New Zealand. Our love for travel, exploration, nature, and fun brought us together and now we are ready for our next adventure in Southeast Asia!

Juliana: I love to explore, garden, dance, write, craft, swim, and hike. I am motivated to explore from a place of deep love for the earth and am always curious to keep learning about the plants, trees, and animals around me as well as the people who inhabit the spaces I travel to. We are both interested in all things sustainability. I am especially interested in sustainable agriculture and permaculture. I'm an easy going person with a positive attitude :)

Hi! Ralph here, here's a few things about me. I'm passionate about all things ocean related. I love woodworking, hiking, swimming, scuba diving, sailing, exploring and learning more about life in the water. I also have a fascination with history and culture in different societies around the world. I’m a very open minded individual and am always keen to try something new, especially food. I love to cook and learn about different cuisines, particularly seafood. I’m a hard worker and always strive to have a positive impact on places and people.

Juliana: I have a degree in environmental and sustainability studies, my minors were anthropology and environmental education. I have worked on a dairy farm and vegetable farm. I have experience in the environmental education field, teaching kids about gardening and aquatic life in the rivers. I have experience coordinating events and volunteers and running the social media for a non-profit. I have done work exchanges before in New Zealand, doing various tasks from painting chicken coops to gardening.

Ralph: My background consists of carpentry, finishing/painting, electrics and hospitality. I was an apprentice boat painter for 3 years where I learned finishing techniques such as varnishing, painting with different materials, spray painting and preparing boats and products for finishing. I’m a very detail oriented person and can be a perfectionist when it comes to aesthetics of products. I also have experience of independently managing my own workloads. I was trusted to do the maintenance and testing of fire alarms and emergency lighting for over 100 buildings as a Fire Systems Engineer. Over the years I've also worked on many building sites where i've learned valuable construction skills for instance, concreting and working with hand tools. Lastly I make delicious margaritas and mojitos, that's especially important.

Love to read and to try new crafts with my hands, interested in learning anything you are interested in. Also interested in poetry- reading and writing, local folklore and histoy.
