Hey there! 🌻
We are Jamie and Sophia, two German best friends who met on their world trip after our graduation in 2018. 🌎 Ever since we love going on adventures together and explore more of this beautiful world. We have been to New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Portugal and Sweden. And that list is hopefully never ending 😉
WHY ARE WE ON WORKAWAY?
We are now looking for new experiences which will help us grow and broaden our horizons. 🌞 We want to travel, see more of cultures and nature and just want to see where it takes us. 🦋
Right now we are on a kind of gap year and we as we mostly sit behind our laptops for work or studying, we want to get our hands dirty, see something new and learn new skills. 🧑🌾⚒️

JAMIE: Hi, I'm Jamie! I'm currently finishing my bachelor's degree in Communication Design (done in July!) while also working a few days a week at an animation and motion design agency. In my free time, I love reading books 📚—whether it's fantasy, romance, thrillers, or autobiographies, I enjoy reading just about anything I can get my hands on. I am also passionate about creative crafts like knitting, sewing, and DIY projects. 🧶 I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially on long walks with friends and good snacks. Speaking of snacks, I like to bake and cook. I am vegan and I always like to try new recipes. 🧁👩🍳
SOPHIA: Hey there, I am Sophia! I have originally studied health promotion and am now working as a freelance writer and yoga teacher. 🧘🏼♀️ I love being creative and spend time in nature. Wether it's going for a run or hike in my home in the Bavarian Alps. ⛰️ My analog camera is with me almost all the time and I like to capture moments in any way. 📸 My heart is beating for animals, the outdoors, good food, gardens and sunsets! 🌅
We like to say that together we're the perfect mixture. We complement each other perfectly, wether it's with skills or characteristics.
What we can assure you is that we can work together. We have been waitresses, kiwi pickers, cleaners, maintenance workers and hospitality workers together. So yes, we are a good team! 💛

PREVIOUS WORKAWAY EXPERIENCE
We have spent our summer in Southern Sweden working on a small farm. We've been staying for 6 weeks, helping around the house, taking care of the animals (goats, ducks, chickens and cats) and also did house sitting while the owners were on holiday. We did some garden work, cutting bushes, fermenting vegetables, taking care of sick animals, helped in moving the goats to new areas, picked fruits and vegetables and learned a lot about plants, trees and animals.

We would describe ourselves as practical and ambitious, willing to get to know any kind of new field or topic.
We have been working on a fruit picking farm in New Zealand. We did housekeeping and waitress jobs and have some basic knowledge about general maintenance work.
We are both pretty creative, Sophia is working as a freelance writer and yoga teacher and Jamie has studied communication design. Meaning: for digital designs, we're happy to help!
We loooove animals, and would be very happy to give cuddles and a high amount of attention to new furry friends :)

We love to hike and spend time out in nature, wether it's a relaxing day by the lakeside or an exciting adventure out in the mountains. ⛰️ 🚤
We are both creative, like to paint every now and then or try other DIY-Projects. We're always open for something new to learn! ✨
Sophia likes to do yoga and go for a run, while Jamie can bake delicious cookies or cakes :))
We are both working remotely. It doesn't necessarily have to be 8 hours a day, but we might be behind our laptops for a bit. And that's why we would like to work with our hands. To do something practical and get off the screen for a few hours a day! 💻
Therefore, we would be happy to find hosts who do not mind digital nomads!
