Hi, my name is Izzy. I'm 18 years old from the UK and I am on a gap year between school and university. I am a quiet, hardworking and friendly person and I really enjoy getting to know people and hearing about their lives. I find travelling and learning about different cultures very exciting, I have never been as far as Indonesia and I would love to learn more about the country from my hosts, especially the history and language.
I will be studying international politics at university, so learning about different cultures and viewpoints will be really helpful for my course. I want to make friends, meet lots of new people, and enjoy better weather than I get in the UK! I am very happy spending time in nature or at historic places and I would love to find out more about the history of Indonesia. I hope I get to meet you soon!

I am a native English speaker and I have some teaching experience through helping my sisters and the children I look after with homework, so I am able to teach English. I'm good with children as I do a lot of childcare work, and I generally make friends easily. I also work in a busy shop which requires me to be able to balance various tasks and demands at once while remaining calm and patient. I think my greatest skill is enthusiasm- I am a very positive and optimistic person and I love to try new things. I can also help with cooking and cleaning.
