Description
NiHao 你好!
My name is HongJi 鸿基 — a Chinese name that describes a greylag goose flying high in the sky. I grew up between the skyscrapers of Shanghai and small mountain villages in Austria, moving naturally between different cultures, landscapes, and ways of life.
I have completed formal studies in both acting and mathematics. This combination has shaped me into someone who is both creative and analytical, empathetic and reliable. As a trained actor, I am comfortable working with people, adapting to new environments, and communicating openly. My background in mathematics has strengthened my problem-solving skills, patience, and structured way of thinking.
I speak Mandarin, German, and English fluently, and I am currently improving my Spanish, Japanese, and Polish. Language learning and cultural exchange are central parts of who I am.
Over the years, I have gathered a wide range of practical and unconventional experiences:
I have worked as an interpreter in courtrooms, fundraised on the streets of Switzerland late at night, played theatre in a public showcase box, helped out on horse farms in Poland, and even ran a half-marathon against horses. These experiences taught me resilience, responsibility, teamwork, and how to stay calm and motivated in unfamiliar or demanding situations.
I feel most alive in nature and around animals. Coming from a large family, I am used to shared living, cooperation, and taking responsibility. I am open-minded, hardworking, and not afraid of new challenges or big adventures.

More details about your skills
I am a motivated and curious person who enjoys sharing knowledge and learning new things. I have studied mathematics and can teach math, German, English, and other general school subjects to both children and adults. I have experience explaining complex topics in a simple and patient way, adapting to different learning styles and ages.
I also have an degree in acting, so I have experience working with theatre and creative activities with children and adults. This has helped me develop strong communication skills, creativity, confidence, and the ability to work well in groups.
I also have hands-on experience with horses, as well as working on farms and in stables. I am comfortable around animals, enjoy physical work, and understand the importance of responsibility and routine when caring for them.
I am open-minded, reliable, and always ready for new challenges—even tasks I haven’t done before. I learn quickly, enjoy helping wherever needed, and bring curiosity, positive energy, and enthusiasm to every project.

What else ...
I enjoy doing all kinds of sports and love to dance—from contact improvisation to partner dances or simply dancing freely. Music is an important part of my life, and I also love to sing, especially jazz and pop.
I enjoy board games, puzzles, and everything that involves thinking and problem-solving. I’m always happy to play chess or challenge myself with riddles and logic games.
I love to cook and eat good food—I truly believe life is too short to eat bad food. Sharing meals, trying new recipes, and enjoying food together is something I really value.
