Hello! My name is Alex. I'm 24yo and looking to travel for 6 mos in South America. I currently live in Seattle, Washington and am a mechanical engineer by trade. I enjoy working with my hands and solving a wide array of problems. I'm always working on a car or motorcycle or helping a friend out on a project. I am also a reliable worker and can learn new skills when needed.
I would describe myself as self-sufficient and sociable as I enjoy meeting new people and possibly teaching them a thing or two. Ideally my experience would involve other workawayers or hosts in a semi-rural or rural location.
In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors mountain biking, skiing, climbing, dirt biking and camping. In nature is where I feel most free.
I want to experience work away so I can experience a greater depth of culture in the locations that I travel to. Spending time with people of different backgrounds is the best way to do that. Hopefully you think so too!
