Description

I am very passionate and inspired by nature-based solutions to climate and environmental change. I graduated from university in Ecology & Wildlife Conservation and am fascinated by ecological restoration and regenerative agriculture. I would love to get the practical experience of helping people on sustainable projects and learn about restoration and permaculture on the ground. I love to travel, meet people and learn new things so naturally I am excited to be on Workaway and find an opportunity to do just this! I am open-minded, easygoing and love to connect with people :)

I have experience working physical labour jobs on building sites as well as warehouses, and also for environmental NGOs. From this I am able to work physically and enjoy this as well as being outside in nature. Most of my experience has been working in restaurants, bars and kitchens - I like to cook and am a hospitable person who likes to help where I can :)

I like to help out my family around the house with odd jobs such as putting up shelves, cutting wood, painting and gardening. I get a lot of satisfaction from this but would not say I have a specific skill in this respect - however, with guidance I feel very capable to learn and do a good job!

I am a graduate in Ecology & Wildlife Conservation from university in the UK and so have a wide-ranging, more general knowledge of various topics including ecosystems, ecology, climate change, sustainability, geography and wildlife conservation. My main interests are ecosystem restoration and regenerative agriculture.

I have spent time travelling around Europe interrailing and working on NGO projects in Madagascar, Greece and Romania. I have met and worked with people of different backgrounds and would say I am an open-minded person from these experiences who enjoys learning from and connecting with people.

Overall, I am quite well-rounded but would like to do a workaway experience to better build specific skills. My main qualities are that I am a hardworker, good at listening and working with people, want to learn more and help people, and that I can learn quickly and work independently, taking initiative if needed. I love to try new experiences and learn things I did not know before!

I love listening to and making music, hanging out with friends and family, going to live music gigs, spending time in nature, travelling, cooking, meditation, exercising, eating healthy and playing sports / outdoor activities (boxing, football, climbing, hiking). I would love to learn more about living sustainably and in harmony with nature as well as spirituality. I am open-minded and love to explore different topics in conversations (spirituality, ancient civilisations, society, space...)
