Hello everyone !

What a difficult exercise to write on ourself !

There are so many things to say about the things we like doing: travelling (of course), learning new languages, cooking, playing and listening to music (classical or not) (Gaëlle's playing flute in a great music band in Belgium) and doing sport (mainly tennis, running and cycling). Among our favourite activity is also hiking. We like nature as we live in the countryside in Belgium and we participated to boyscouts activities during more than ten years, both as participants and organizers. We are also very interested in discussing about the (sense of the) life, the international topics, etc.

If you really want to know details on our professional life : Gaëlle studied European and human rights Law and worked as a lawyer during several years in migration and international family law. Grégoire studied engineering and worked as a researcher in bioengineering. We will be happy to explain you our jobs, the positive and the negative aspects, great or sad stories, etc.

Our life is based on sobriety, simplicity and real exchanges with people. We are sensitive, open-minded and curious. The respect of human rights all around the world also remains an important concern to us in particular in regards with the climate change and the geopolitical difficulties.

To finish with more funny facts, you should know that we like to play board games, we love cooking and most of all eating (especially lasagnas and frites), and Gaëlle loves Rafael Nadal and would like to meet Kate Winslet (from Titanic and so many other movies) once in her life :-)

As regular hikers, we are two resourceful and versatile individuals who love the great outdoors, living in tents, and exploring all its facets. Beyond the practical aspects of travel, for over 10 years, we have experienced the joys of scouting, which involves sharing daily tasks in a community in nature, from building wooden structures to cooking over a campfire and organizing activities for children.

Our studies in engineering and law, as well as our subsequent jobs, have led us to travel abroad for several months in Europe and elsewhere, making us very comfortable living in English.

Gregoire's technical engineering job has made him particularly interested in manual work, whether it be construction, renovation, or repair. Gaëlle's passion for healthy eating has made her actively involved in cooking and interested in farming practices.

What else ...

During our various long trips, whether by bicycle or backpacking, we particularly enjoy staying with local families to experience in detail the life of a local family, their customs, education, and share meaningful moments. We highly value keeping in touch with our hosts afterwards. Our desire for connection and curiosity means that we greatly enjoy spending time playing games and engaging in lengthy discussions with our hosts on various topics.
