Hi there! My name is Gia, I am a 22 year old french-italian girl living in Canada. To tell you a little bit about myself, I am an artist at heart. I work as a makeup artist in the fashion and film/tv industry but I also love to paint, draw and photograph in my free time. I am also an excellent cook and baker, I derive an immense pleasure from making meals for other people! I’m also a lover of nature and immersing myself in new environments and sceneries (which I love to draw and paint when i get the chance!) and I enjoy working outside whether it be to garden, tend to animals or do some handy work. When I am not working, I also enjoy hiking, cycling and just being under the sun while reading a book or listening to music! I enjoy being around children and being able to teach them about the things I love. I am at my happiest when I am able to help others in anyway I can, and learn new things and create connections in the process.

I love learning about new cultures and sharing mine. I am fluent in french and english and have even tutored both languages to kids. I speak a bit of italian as my family is from there but I would love to learn more if i have the opportunity! I am also very open to learning about any other language as i am fascinated by communication and foreign cultures!

I am a great cook and baker and I host a lot of dinner parties for large groups so I have no issue creating meals for a big family! I also have extensive experience in the service and hospitality industry.
I love working with children, I have a lot of experience around them and I am certified in first-aid in case of emergency.
I am a good gardener and have some knowledge of flowers and vegetables, I have attended gardening camps and got to learn a lot about tending to vegetable gardens and certain plants.
I am also good at handy work like painting, plastering and general simple home renovations as my father has taught be a lot and we have together accomplished projects like building wooden planters for a garden and building a whole patio, as well as various projects inside my home.
I enjoy being around animals although i have less experience with farm animals i am eager to learn more. I have experience with cats and dogs as i have 4 cats myself! I love walking so it’s always a pleasure to be around dogs that require a lot of movement and time outside.
I also enjoy simple tasks like cleaning and home maintenance, I find it relaxing and very rewarding!

I love learning new things and I hope to use my experiences as a Workawayer to enrich my knowledge in various fields. I also love travelling and discovering new places as well as the people in them. I am a fan of outdoor sports like walking, hiking, cycling and swimming! I love being around people but I am also very independent and find much pleasure in having time by myself to read, paint and listen to music. As i also mentioned I love to cook and would be honoured to create beautiful meals for my hosts or other workers!
