Hello,

I'm Frances. I'm from London, but I also have Polish and Australian citizenship, and I went to a French school, so I like working across different cultures.

I was a music lawyer for 10 years although I spent my free time in nature (a lot of hiking trips to quiet places, or working on community gardens in London) and building things - I even built my own house.

This year (2025) I left my job to spend time reconnecting with what I love, and to travel. Through Workaway I hope to learn more about building/ carpentry and food growing, and improve my French.

I consider myself a hard worker, physically strong but also easygoing. I am happy to get on with tasks by myself and not afraid to try my hand at new things. I love cooking and local, seasonal, organic vegetables. I eat everything - no dietary requirements.

At home I swim a lot, read a lot, do DIY and like helping out with on community projects. I laugh easily and like cooking, and sharing meals with people. I once hitchhiked across West Africa by myself, so I also have a sense of adventure.

This will be my first season of Workaway.
