Hi there!
My name is Erica. I have just graduated university with a bachelors degree in biological anthropology. I will be doing an archaeology field school in Poland in the early summer and then am planning to backpack around Europe for a couple of months! I spent the first two of years of university studying in the UK and then returned home to Northern California in March 2020 because of covid-19 and completed university in my home town. I love to be in nature and to explore. Connecting with new people and places is important to me. I enjoy playing the guitar and being creative. I am currently focusing on the art of ceramics and aspire to start a pottery business soon. I have a lot to learn and have been hoping to find workaway opportunities that involve ceramics or other arts.

I have experience with gardening and agriculture, painting and animal care. I have intermediate experience with ceramics including throwing on the wheel, glazing and basic firing. I also have knowledge of solar electric systems. Cooking with local produce and herbs is one of my passions. I speak English fluently and have basic knowledge of Spanish and Italian. I pick things up quickly and am happy to learn new skills!

I am an intermediate guitar player and love to play and sing. I enjoy connecting with others and also enjoy quiet, alone time in nature. I love playing with and caring for animals. I mainly have experience with dogs, cats, chickens and goats. I am very interested in learning about cooking in other countries. I live in a fairly rural place with lots of local farms and produce, so I have been lucky enough to have wonderful ingredients to cook with. I find sharing and learning with others very fulfilling and enjoyable.
