We have done a couple of workaways, we really love it’s ethos of being a platform to share knowledge and friendship. We are open-minded and enthusiastic people by nature, on a mission to learn new ways of living around the world.

We are currently travelling around india for 5 months, during our trip we hope to find some workaways that will inspire us creatively and give us opportunities to share experiences and culture.

We are both artists and are interested in crafts and how different people use crafts to build their environment. We are both very inspired by nature and would love to learn about the diverse nature in India.

(Emily) I am an artist and a gardener. I build light sculptures from casts I take of trees using natural latex and show them at festivals. I love growing plants and learning about the natural world, making art and building projects around my house and making friends. I love to cook and am hoping to learn some techniques of Indian cooking. I have experience making functional design with recycled melted down plastic, I would like to share this knowledge. I am also interested to visit a latex rubber farm. I am an annual festival goer, I love music and I play some harmonica, I'm always up for a jam!

(Oscar) As an artist I work with sound and sculpture. I use common materials like steel, plaster and ceramics to make naturally inspired sculptures which create sound, like an instrument. I'm also a musician and I use my sculptures to perform live with other instruments. I am passionate about materials and how they are used in crafts, building and life. In other work I have been a chef, landscaper and builder. Learning different skills through these professions. In my spare time I love to explore, meet people, listen and learn. Travelling gives you an amazing opportunity to find these things and I hope through workaway we can meet new people, learn new things and engage in some great projects.

As a couple we love to work together, and while we have many different skills we have a lot of similarities and interests. We would love to find a project that could use both our skills collaboratively and we can both learn new things together. we are also both interested in photography, mural painting, pottery, horticulture, growing and building.

What else ...

Board games, card games! Sports. Jamming with the guitar and harmonica we Love to be outdoors doing absolutely anything even in the rain but also appreciate a day inside reading or making. We love collecting, whether that’s natural things, discarded scrap or old antiques. We try to reuse and recycle as much as possible. From beaches to mountains we love exploring nature and will be happy anywhere close to it. We are occasional smokers and are happy not too if it’s a problem for you.
