Hello!
I am a 24 year-old soon-to-be dentist from the cold north, Finland. At the moment I have a gap year after the 4th year of my dental school studies. For the last half a year I’ve been working in finnish common health care center as a dentist. Now it’s time to do some travelling for the rest of my gap year, and hopefully some volunteering too!
My dream volunteer-job would include good people, fun activities (preferably outdoors with a board of some kind included), sun and animals!
I’d describe myself as a social butterfly with an endless bank of empathy and humor. I’m a very outdoorsy and active person, and enjoy all kinds of sports and activities, especially when combined with nature! I’m practicing on looking at life through happy and kind lenses, I think it’s important to understand and respect all kinds of people and minds. I find joy in good and genuine connections with fun people, kids, and all kinds of animals! Especially dogs.
My goal in life is to find a balanced way to live and work, without ending up in a hamster wheel. The best thing in travelling (besides seeing all the unimaginable places and scenery) would be the people I’ve met. I feel like you can learn a million things of life and yourself from meaningful conversations with different people from all around the world!

Dentist as a profession. Worked as a dentist and a dental assistant in both private and public health care in Finland. Besides that I have working history in clothing stores, restaurants as a waitress, gyms as a receptionist, hotel receptionist and cleaning, and volunteering with kids and animals.
I am familiar with numbers, different booking systems and also a quick learner!

My long term plan/dream is to adopt a dog and move to Denmark. I also want to learn how to DJ and make the best seed bread (rye bread?) ever. Also I carry the exploding kittens -card game with me, so be prepared for some intense card game nights.
