Description

I am traveling from end of October 2023 til February 2024 with a furry four legged companion and looking to stay in places where my skills are appreciated, my dog is welcome and where I feel I can learn and contribute. I have experience in gardening and permaculture projects (I have a permaculture garden at home), I am handy with building work (renovated a house and built a campervan) and looking forward to learning more. Special interests include anything related to water -- I have worked as a dive master in Asia, love being on boats and recently started sailing. I am also very interested in the human body, being qualified in massage/bodywork I enjoy giving treatments.

Also open to house sitting when the timing and place is right.

I'm well travelled, open minded, mature and responsible, used to shared living arrangements. I am a computer scientist who has recently re-trained as a yoga teacher and bodywork therapist, and I am taking a break from work in order to explore ways to change my career.
I love living outdoors and having animals around and eventually I would like to start my own eco project once I find a place to settle down.

Looking for inspirational projects where I can learn about building and running a retreat centre or tourism business, living off grid, organic farming, and find the company of like-minded people. I am also keen to learn more about natural healing practices, herbalism, holistic approaches to health and wellness, and interested in learning more about running
businesses offering a range of different types of activities.

What else ...

I have worked as a volunteer on a coral reef conservation and turtle rescue project in Malaysian Borneo for a year. During this time I lived in a tent on the beach, qualified as a dive master and stayed on as an intern and eventually worked as a camp manager.
I also volunteer as a maternity mate/doula with vulnerable pregnant women in my local area in East London and for the last three years I was a volunteer at the London Permaculture Festival.

  At home I eat 90% vegetarian/vegan, but I do eat good quality, farm raised meat occasionally, mostly bone marrow, ham, and bacon. Super happy on a vegetarian/vegan diet when I travel.
