Description
Hello! My name is Dakota. I'm a traveling designer and architectural associate. I travel fulltime and work on projects from my computer to keep me going. I love the work I do but my heart is always pulling me towards creativity, working with my hands, studying herbal medicines, gardening and sustainable living and away from the computer and towards community. I grew up off-grid in a solar home, and learned from a very young age the importance of co existing with nature, hard work, and adaptability/resilience.

While I'm mostly trained in designing and drawing buildings, I grew up helping my parents restore houses and working with my dad on various solar and electrical projects. Although I'm far from an expert at these skills I know my way around most power and hand tools, basic construction/ gardening/herbal remedy techniques. I'm a creative by nature and am constantly driven to improve my surroundings through innovation. I'm a fast learner, hard worker, and will jump in where ever help is needed with a positive attitude and a smile. In my spare time my hobbies include, climbing, skiing, making jewelry, stained glass, furniture and painting. Being raised in a sustainable community of earth-ships has given me a unique perspective on sustainable and eco-friendly living/techniques.

What else ...
I put passion into everything I do, with a curious mind and attention to detail. I've traveled a fair amount and really enjoy getting to know local culture, traditions, and people. I'm an artist, explorer, sophist, and a girl who is far from the fear of getting my hands dirty. I admire the number of individuals making the jump into living sustainably and teaching others along the way. I'm very much looking forward to being removed from the technological and fast paced society I've become accustomed to. This is my first time participating in a workaway/woofing project and I can't wait to get started!
