Description
Hi! I am Bence, a mechanical engineer from Budapest, Hungary. I consider myself a positive and outgoing person who loves new challenges, adventures and meeting new people. In what I do I am always full of ideas and I immerse myself in the project at hand. In my free time I play the guitar, I write music and poems and I love to go running or just hang out with friends. I have always strived to be a reflective person, to broaden my view of the world and to become a more authentic human being.

I am 27 years old and having born, been brought up and lived practically all my life in the beautiful city of Budapest, I am looking to expand my horizons abroad, to learn about different cultures and meet people. My main motivation for joining Workaway is to experience a different way of life than what I'm used to and to get a break from the fast-paced modern lifestyle.

I graduated as a mechanical engineer and I currently work as a software engineer. Previously I also gathered some experience as a sound technician for concerts, festivals. By travelling I aim to get up from the office desk and try more active and meaningful ways of working. I have solid problem solving skills and can easily work with others in teams. My manual skills are quite basic but I have huge enthusiasm for DIY projects.
I'm fluent in English, my mother tongue is Hungarian. At home I love to cook so if you're up for some fine goulash, look no further.

Bence is a fantastic volunteer who's work and knowledge goes way beyond what is to be expected from volunteers. He fixed for us an electric motor in the mill and basically saved our harvest. This was my first ever workaway and it turned out to be an amazing experience. The work involved helping out with renovation and mainly landscaping, cutting weeds and bushes.
