Description

Hello, my name is Colin. I was born in San Francisco but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2021. I traveled for over a year after graduating, including a month volunteering at a hostel in Granada, Spain and another month volunteering at a hostel in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Following that year of traveling, I spent a year and a half working in a hotel in California. Now I'm traveling again and am looking to volunteer because I love the connections you can make when you spend longer in a place and I want to try new things.
I love traveling and experiencing new things, especially the unplanned/unexpected. I love the outdoors but never say no to going out for drinks and dancing. I want to learn from the world so I can grow as a person and help make the world a better place, even if just in small ways.

I have almost two years of hotel and hostel experience as well as multiple years of restaurant experience.

I have worked in service jobs for a few years so I have plenty of experience interacting with customers. I've volunteered in two hostels, where I learned the ins and outs of the hostel industry pretty well. I studied Finance and International Business in university, so if you need someone to look over your books, I'm your guy. I'm also a pretty decent cook with a passion for trying new foods in the kitchen and at the dinner table.
I am intermediate at Spanish (lived in Chile for 3 months, Spain for 2 months, and took Spanish classes in grade school and university)

What else ...

I love hiking, skiing, climbing, kayaking, camping, basically any outdoor activity. I also love socializing and meeting new people. I travel to see the world and develop as a person, so I'm always open to new experiences (the stranger the better). Right now, I'm really trying to learn how to take care of my body through yoga, exercise, and healthy eating. If you have anything to teach on those subjects, I'm like clay ready to be molded.
