Hi!
My name is Christian and I'm an educator. I've worked in ESL in schools in the United States as well as afterschool programs and day programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I enjoy experiencing different cultures, meeting new people and learning languages. I've been learning Spanish for about 3 years and would place myself at about a conversational level, though I still need a good amount of patience to communicate exactly what I'd like to say and to understand native speakers.
I'm currently working to get a degree in elementary education and am TEFL certified.
I have a focus on community in my day to day life and give my all to the work that I do. I'm hoping to find fun and opportunities for learning through hard work in a volunteer position.

What else ...
I love to read and visit museums. My absolute favorite thing to do while travelling besides socializing with others is eating! I love street food, home cooked foods, communal meals, restaurants, anything involving food. I play guitar and like to practice piano. I've played poker since I was a kid but I'm not very good at it, there are a few other card games I've learned enough about to teach and engage in with others. I like to go to the movies and talk about philosophy and hear others' perspectives.
