Hi I’m Cate! I am an English Literature student from Canada. I love music, food, art, poetry, travelling, and exploring nature. I am an adventurous person who loves trying new things, so I can’t wait to do Workaway for the first time!
In my free time I love cooking and baking because food is something that makes people happy and brings loved ones together. I have two dogs (Juno and Chili) who I adore and have always loved spending time with animals. I grew up in Toronto, but spent weekends and summers camping and spending as much time as possible outdoors. I continue to really value connecting with nature and appreciating the beautiful world around me. I am energetic, kind, and adaptable, and I hope to see as many beautiful places and meet as many wonderful people as I can!Interests

I babysat all throughout high school, and continued working with children and teaching by working as a volunteer librarian at a local daycare centre and teaching swimming lessons to children with disabilities at a Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto. I have also worked with the Terry Fox Foundation and volunteered in retirement homes in my neighbourhood, as well as a local environmental group working to remove garbage from public parks in the community. I have experience in the restaurant industry as well (front of house - hostess, barback, busser, server), and love being able to provide guests with a positive and fun experience.
I also like to work with my hands and have experience doing odd jobs like landscaping/gardening, painting, fixing up things around the house, and some woodwork (more practical than artistic). My work and volunteer experience has all helped me practise problem solving and working as part of a team while also becoming more patient and empathetic. I pick up on skills quickly and love to learn new things!Age
