    Hi,

Live your passions; do what you love and love what you do.

I am a Yoga Teacher, AcroYoga Teacher, Official YogaSlacker and Fitness Coach currently based in Boulder, Colorado, USA. I also teach SUP, Thai Massage, Climbing, Outdoor Education and have many other available Ssills. I lived in Dubai for 5 years and Athens Greece for 4 months. I have traveled to: UAE, Oman, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Greece, Cyprus, Thailand, Vietnam, Cyprus, Bahamas, Canada and various places around the US.

I will email you my CV, certifications, personal and professional referances and pictures upon request.

A bit more about me. I started practicing Yoga about 7yrs about when I was in the Army and have been a fitness coach for several years. I attended my first teachers training last year. I had a private teacher, Guru Ravvi Tomar, a Master Teacher from Rishikesh from March 2013 - Jan 2014 (He moved back to India) for Hatha Yoga. I started teaching Yoga with private clients in May as part of my training with Ravi. I joined on as Director and Partner at Satya Flow Yoga in November 2013. I am currently attending another 200 YTT the Managing Director of Satya Flow Yoga, Liz Terry arranged through YogaWorks here in Dubai for Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. This Teachers Training is 200hr Intensive, the first two weeks or March now we have a break and the rest of the course is the first two weeks of May. I currently teach private, groups, corporate to include “Hot Yoga” at Bikram Yoga Middle East

Outside of Yoga I am part of the team at Explorer Tours as the Events Manager. I manage and lead Corporate and Student Team Building Events, climbing, hiking, caving, camp craft, survival, kayaking etc. We also run Yoga and Boot Camps for Corporate and Student Groups.

I am an avid climber. Climbing is also one of my biggest passions.

I love Yoga; it has been one of my greatest teachers and has become a life long journey.

Brian has been a Fitness Coach for 8 years, his background with Yoga started in fitness while he was serving in the US Army and is certified in Yoga, Fitness, NLP Coaching, TRX (Suspension and Rip), Trigger Point MyoFascial Release, Sports Therapy, Sport Nutrition, CPR, First Aid, Team Building, Rock Climbing and a few others.

I was the fitness trainer for my unit, into hard training with large muscles and had poor flexibility. I also had a few injuries while serving and was recommended by a doctor to start Yoga or Pilates.
Now I was one of “those guys” though thought Yoga is not a workout, “it’s only for girls.” When I was dragged to my first ever Yoga class I was in for quite a shock… 10mins in I was dying. The class was held on the Army Base in the fitness center and I was the only guy, it was tough and the soldier inside me stuck with it to finish the class…barely. After the first class I felt a major difference and I started practicing on and off since 2007, not really consistent with my practice. I learned the more consistent I was the more benefits I had physically, as I practiced more I started to notice how it affected my mood, stress and many other aspects of my life that regular fitness did not.

So I set the goal of learning Yoga to one day become a teacher. It took a few years before I was able to attend a teachers training, when I had the time to do it I didn’t have the funds and when I had the funds I did not have the time or so was my excuse. One day I said “I need to do this, I want to do this and the only way things happen is when we stop hiding behind our excuses.” I was holding myself back, stopping myself from achieving my goal. With this realization I set my excuses aside and made the conscious decision to make it happen. “When the student is ready the teacher will appear” and into my life he came.

My journey to becoming a teacher began in March 2013. I Attended my first teachers 200hr Yoga Teachers Training in Hatha Yoga with Guru Ravvindra Tomar, a Master Teacher from Rishikesh, India; living in Dubai. Ravvi has been one of my greatest teachers and mentors. I completed my training in August 2013 and he trained and mentored me until Jan 2014 when he moved back to India. (Thank you Ravvi miss you lots).

My path to becoming a teacher did not stop there though, as Yoga is a life long journey. I wanted more knowledge, more training for my own personal growth and to become a better teacher. So second teacher Thomas Taubman who equally impacted my life and Yoga Practice appeared when my amazing friend Liz Terry (Founder and Chief of Satya Flow Yoga) presented me with the opportunity to take a second 200hr Intensive Yoga Teachers Training in Vinyasa Yoga in Dubai with one of the worlds most renowned teachers training organizations: YogaWorks.

I completed the first half of the course in March 2014 with Thomas Taubman and we will finish the rest of the course in May 2014 with Laurel Beversdorf. I am very much looking forward to finishing the course and meeting my third teacher.

My journey does not end here Yoga has forever impacted and changed me and next I plan on taking the advanced 500hr Teachers Training.

  • What else ...

Hi I hope you are well. I am very interested in the offer you have posted. I am currently teaching in Nicaragua at the Casa Lucia Hotel in Granada until the end of the month and have plans to travel to and teach in Costa Rica or Panama for the month of May. Prior to here I was in Honduras teaching at Yoga's Garden for almost two months. I teach many styles of yoga and also teach AcroYoga. I am an official YogaSlacker and AcroYoga Teacher as well as I also teach and do Thai Yoga Massage Therapy, Tantra, Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, SUP and SUP Yoga, Hiking, Survival, Climbing, Outdoor Education, Fitness, Nutrition etc. I can offer daily classes and also run workshops and can offer them there as well as private sessions. For specialized workshops and privates I usually do a 70/30 split but we can negotiate this. I take 70 you take 30. I also have experience in art, carpentry, building, fixing things (I served in the Army as an Engineer) marketing, media, reception and management....

I can possible come there in May and stay for a few months, however I would need to leave from May 30-June 9 as I am going back to the US as I am taking a very specialized Yoga training course with Jason and Chelsey. If you don't know who JandC please check them out. :) This is an awesome program that I am already paid and committed to going to and plan to return to CEntral America after the training. I am really looking for something in Panama for June-August

After the training my daughter, Aislyn, is also traveling with me for the summer once she get out of school. She is almost 12 and teaches acro with me and assists in some classes, she does workexchange and volunteering as well so you can put her to work. Her project this summer is doing a travel blog on her experiences to the places we go and things she does as well as posting on social media. This can be very good to highlight things that you offer at your location. I can commit to 3 months maybe longer. Aislyn will be with me from June to the beginning of August. She has done work exchanged before and is an experienced young traveler.

If you would like to have me share my passions with you for the summer please let me know as soon as possible so we can discuss the arrangements. Please feel free to search me on social media and I also have many references at your request.

I look forward to hearing from you. Hope you have a great day. 🙂 Brian
