Hi! I'm Riccardo, 25-year old from Italy, studied for 2 years in Berlin and now living in Switzerland. However, I don't feel tied to any place; I'm just a humble earthling who yearns to discover this planet and its cultures, while staying sustainable and helping out around me.
Who am I?
Tireless reader interested in psychology, philosophy and history. Software engineer with a humanistic soul. My belonging: I feel European, Friulian and Italian, exactly in that order. Occasional eccentric filmmaker and duck lover. Despite being Italian, but I can't cook a proper carbonara. Trying to apply minimalism to many aspects of life.

Why Workaway?
Personally I truly believe in volunteering as a way of making a difference in our planet and its communities. Moreover, this is seems to me the most authentic way to travel: get to know locals and their culture, and actively help them through volunteering.
How can I help?
I am passionate about filmmaking. In fact, in my previous WorkAway experiences, I supported with photos and videos. Moreover, I was helping out with website development and IT support, so I am well-versed in any media/tech-related activity. In addition, I love learning languages, and I am looking forward to teach them as well. For a while, I volunteered in a student pub, so I know my way around serving people, making cocktails and handle bar logistics. Despite my experience is mostly related to intellectual activities, I am more interested in learning manual stuff (e.g. construction building, permaculture, etc...). I am willing to learn and support with any mean of practical help.
What am I interested in?
Living offgrid close to the nature, making practical experiences in sustainable agriculture, learning languages, teaching, sailing.

My best skills relate to photos and videos (as I did in my previous WorkAways), or developing/maintaining websites. I can do teaching activities and support in customer services (previously I worked in a tourist office). I am familiar with bartending and its logistics.
Finally, I can easily adapt to any situation and I can offer my help in everything required that I’ll be able to do, I'm responsive and I can learn fast.
