Description
Hey fellow Workawayers and potential hosts! My name is Anuj and I'm a university student at USF, originally from the Washington D.C. area. I am on a mission to explore the world, through long-distance cycle tours, scenic hikes, and tons and tons of local foods! I've had the privilege to venture out of my comfort zone over the last few years and embark on a number of solo adventures. I did my first Workaway in Portland after my freshman year of college have since been to Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Thailand. Most recently, I completely a cross-country cycle tour of the United States, and it was amazing!
I start a full-time job in May 2026, and I'd like to squeeze in a few more months of world travel before then. I'm aiming to complete a few bucket list items , including the Salkantay Trek in Peru, a cycle tour of Vietnam's Ha Giang Loop, and the Annapurna Trek in Nepal. In between those excursions, I hope to spend meaningful time in beautiful areas through Workaways in Patagonia, East Asia, and Central Asia. A lot of my trips so far have seen me zip from one place to another (I rarely spend more than two nights in the same location), and I'm looking to slow down the pace through these final months of unemployed travel. I want to learn about the food, the people, and the culture that make up my destination, through a few weeks of slow, meaningful exploration. A stay through Workaway would give me the opportunity to not just see a place but genuinely become a part of it.

I'm pretty much up for any labor that I'm tasked with! Regarding specific skills, I volunteer at a community garden near my university, so I'm starting to become familiar with gardening techniques and will continue to become more familiar week-by-week. I'm also a Computer Science major, so if you need any technical assistance, I'm your guy!

I love getting to know new people! I'm also easy-going and up for any task I'm tasked to complete! One thing I really like is learning how to cook new meals, so if you need an assistant in the kitchen, I'd be happy to take that role.
