We are looking to volunteer in places that align with conscious living, sustainability, cultural exchange, or community building.
Our next destination:
Vietnam - from Aug 2025 until Oct 2025 View allDescription
We’re Ana and Darren – a couple united through yogic living, a couple of passionate travellers, and lifelong learners currently seeking meaningful opportunities to contribute, connect, and learn. From October 2025 onwards, we’ll be travelling together again and are looking for inspiring places to volunteer and immerse ourselves in local ways of living.
We’re especially passionate about:
- Learning more about sustainable living and permaculture, natural construction, creating playing spaces for kids, treehouses, sound healing, deepening our yoga practice
- Sharing our skills and knowledge
- Contributing to community and eco projects
- Exploring healing traditions, herbalism, and conscious eating
- Yoga, breathwork, and meditation
🇪🇸Ana: Curious about the world around me and the unknown. Passionate for culture, connection, and conscious living. Since I was a teenager, I’ve always felt this pull to explore the world — not just to see places, but to feel them, understand how people live, eat, think, celebrate, and connect.
I’ve lived in six countries so far — Spain, Ireland, the US, China, Portugal, and Belgium — and each place has shaped me in different ways. I’ve done most of my travels solo, which has taught me to be adaptable, curious, and open-hearted by celebrating diversity.
Over the past year, I’ve started to explore a more spiritual path. After completing my Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in India with Darren, I began studying Ayurveda and the Yoga Sutras, and I’m slowly weaving these teachings into my everyday life. I’m also really drawn to Buddhism and other traditions that bring people closer to themselves and to nature.
I try to live in a more intentional and sustainable way — eating plant-based, avoiding alcohol, and being mindful of how I consume. I’m especially interested in how food can be medicine, and I love learning about the use of herbs and spices in both cooking and healing.
In terms of volunteering, I’ve spent time in animal shelters, helped organize food collections for people in need, cared for children and the elderly, and assisted with community events. I love helping out in any way I can — whether it’s cooking, cleaning, organizing, teaching, or just showing up with presence and care. I also have a background in business and IT, so I’m happy to help with digital tasks or anything tech-related when needed.
🇲🇹Darren: I live for the sunrise and die for the sunset; burning skies and pink shimmering waters. My spirit is at peace by the crashing waves or calm azure waters, surrounded by forests and birdsong, mountain springs, or wonderful panoramas, under starry night skies, rolling clouds, thundering rain, or blazing sunshine.
I travel to learn, to discover, to explore, to be in nature, to meet the people. To learn about places, the nature, the people, their customs and culture, their food. But moreover I seek to find what all these experiences tell me about myself and life. Most important for me is to keep growing, improve, and heal myself. Through this, I can also help others around me.
I'm passionate about ways in which we can work as part of nature to regenerate ourselves and our planet. After coming through a scientific education, and working as a software developer, I'm now interested in discovering about regenerative agriculture, medicinal plants, and natural physical and spiritual healing processes. Food is another passion of mine, and whilst I love discovering the different foods of the places I travel to, I'm more and more conscious that we are what we eat. So the food we eat should be healthy for us and for the planet.
When I was building my van I learnt a lot of new skills - carpentry, metal working, electricity. I am by no means an expert in these, but I loved how useful they are, and would like to continue exploring them. I'm very often able to find creative solutions to the problems I want to solve.. I'm especially interested in learning new recipes and ways of eating.Interests
