Hello!
If you're travelling around, I'm interested in meeting up, having a drink or visiting some sites and exchanging about our different cultures and languages!Description
Hello! I am an enthusiastic, creative and adventurous person always looking for new experiences. I am new to Workaway and am excited to continue my passion for vising different countries, meeting new people and learning about different cultures and histories. I love learning and exchanging language skills and have studied French and German, and did my degree in Chinese Studies and History. I have also lived in Taiwan for a year, studying the language there and immersing myself in the culture, meeting many life-long friends.
Having recently graduated from university in the UK, I am looking to travel more this year and have been working many different jobs in the last 6 months to save up. I am very excited to roll up my sleeves, contribute wherever I can, learn new things and meet new people.Interests

I am passionate about learning and exchanging languages. I studied German and French at school, and continued French into my college. I maintain them myself through reading, travelling and conversing with friends and new people. I have also participated in many exchange programs, including in France and and also hosting for Chinese students in England. I took the opportunity to study Chinese at University to take on a new challenge and learn about a different culture. I have lived in Taichung, Taiwan for a year, studying and using the language, making many new friends ( who I still keep in touch with) and immersing myself in the community life. This year, I would also love to start learning Spanish, and would love to improve French colloquial comprehension. I always love the opportunity to teach others Mandarin, as I strongly believe one of the best ways to maintain it yourself is to teach others. I really enjoy language exchange.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

More details about your skills
I have recently graduated from the University of Sheffield in the North of England. Intrigued by different languages and cultures, I studied Chinese and History. I have also studied French and German, and am always looking for opportunities to expand my language skills. I think learning from each other, and exchanging language and cultures is one of the best ways to to meet new people, make new friends and make the most of the world around us.
I am also a creative person, I enjoy painting, writing, videography and I have undertaken many DIY projects, from refurbishing furniture, to helping to build green houses on allotments- I also love gardening!
I have worked many different jobs over the last year, from working in a cafes, restaurants and bars, to working as ground staff the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. I enjoy being outdoors.
I also am a big fan of sports. Having played football since I was 4 years old, I love team sports and am very active. I also played Basketball at University, often went climbing and bouldering, and love cycling, swimming and hiking.
I am a sociable and outgoing person that is easy to talk to and always down for an adventure!Age

What else ...
I am a sociable person, I enjoy being spending time with friends and getting to know new people. With my university housemates, we enjoy playing cards and other board games, going to the pub, making meals together, as well as going on hike in the Peak District (a national park near our city). While I lived in Taiwan, I joined sports teams to make new friends and get to know people better, and we all enjoyed going to eat after practice, taking rides to local city viewpoints and listening to live music. We also arranged many short trips around the country to explore as much as possible and I really appreciated the opportunity. I am a creative person and in my free time I love to paint and write when I'm at home. I also love film photography and also videography, making my own little movies.
