Hi!

I am full of energy, enthusiasm, and always willing to try new things. As an Elementary School Teacher, I love working with children and people of all ages -- I am a great team player and value collaboration and communication.

I believe that we are all life-long learners, discovering new things, and growing everyday. I want to learn through new experiences and meeting/working with different people. My desire to explore and learn motivate me to be my best self and step outside of my comfort zone.

I LOVE nature (I'm an avid hiker and rock-climber; I love camping and exploring). I LOVE water even more (I enjoy surfing, swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and sailing). I would love to become more comfortable with scuba diving and sailing!

I have a Bachelor in Elementary School Teaching/Education and feel comfortable, capable, and passionate about teaching a language. I would love to learn another language (i.e. Portugese, German, etc.) and am excited to improve my Spanish!

I am full of energy and very enthusiastic! I love getting people involved through encouragement and leading by example. As a Program Director with Westcoast Connection, I led 45+ teens through many experiences and activities, organized team-building exercises, and encouraged participation.

I have strong leadership skills and believe that communication, collaboration, and team-work are essential in being effective and successful. My work as an Elementary School Teacher and classroom Integration Aide have allowed me to explore these areas and apply my knowledge and experience. I have learned how to work with others in effective and motivating ways and would love to continue exploring this through Workaway opportunities.

As a teacher, I have experience working with both children and their parents/guardians. I feel comfortable working with others and guiding children in their learning and lives with the support and guidance (if necessary/requires) of the parents/guardians. I believe that I am a facilitator for children, guiding their passions, experiences, and desires. I want to encourage them in their learning and allow them to direct their own learning to make it meaningful to them!

I love any kind of outdoor activity or adventure! I am also an avid reader and love to pass on this hobby to others. I am always looking for a new book to read and travel with several children's books to pass on to others as I go.
