Hello!

My name is Alexandra, and I am from Ireland. I recently graduated from university in May, where I studied Business and French in Dublin. Currently, I am in Costa Rica on a workaway trip, and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life so far! I was planning on going back to Ireland after, however I have had such an amazing experience here that I have decided to continue travelling, to learn more about people and cultures in different places around Central and North America.

A little about me, I am a very active person, my past times include swimming (in the freezing Irish water usually :0 ), running, dancing and playing music. I am a very social person - I absolutely love meeting people from all over the world and learning new things, and also exchanging some fun facts about my own culture.

Volunteering:
I have several years of experience in volunteering. I volunteered with the YWCA in Dublin during Covid when the needed help with administration, where I helped manage the residents that were staying there. I have also volunteered for Gymnastics Ireland since the age of 16, where I have judged and coached for gymnastic and trampoline competitions.

Hospitality:
For four years, I have worked in part-time hospitality jobs in two restaurants and a hotel. I worked in a restaurant in Paris for three months last summer, which was a great experience in customer service, adapting to a new environment and learning many new skills, especially through another language. For the past seven months of my final year, I have worked in a small family restaurant in a local town. My people-skills have developed considerably in this time as both a waitress and bartender. I love working with people and helping to provide the best possible experience.

Business:
My degree has offered me many critical business skills, particularly this year, where I specialized in digital marketing, where I have certificates in digital advertising skills, strategic management and human resources. All of these modules have allowed me to become proficient in various software and analysis.

What else ...

I am also interested in crafts and creative activities. Painting and jewellery making were a big past time for me during covid that I picked up.
Additionally, although I am a pasta level cook, I love baking thanks to my mom!
I love animals, I have four cats and a dog at our home in the countryside, and when I was younger I had ten guinea pigs and stick insects, so I do love taking care of animals!
